Microsoft High Definition Audio Driver Windows 10 Download

Microsoft's High Definition Audio Drivers. Windows 10 IDT High Definition Audio Driver Bug Report. Windows 10 IDT High Definition Audio Driver Bug Report.

On 8-1-17 my driver update program installed the latest high definition audio device driver 10.0.15063.502 on my Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows 10. Since that update my computer no longer sends high definition audio to my hdtv. The device manager now indicates that the 'device cannot start, code 10'. I have ran trouble shooter which detects the problem, reloads the driver, the restarts the computer with no change. I have uninstalled the high definition audio device and it reinstalls when the computer is restarted with no change. I have checked for Windows updates and that scan indicates my computer is up to date.

Microsoft Realtek High Definition Audio

The high definition audio device no longer appears in the playback device list. Please provide a solution to this failed update and give me the name of the previous driver version and provide a link to where it can be downloaded. The high definition audio device is a windows device.

Toshiba only lists drivers for the Realtek high definition audio device. My computer has both devices and both have the latest drivers but neither will send high definition audio to my hdtv. The windows device had been working but failed as described above after the latest update. I shall suggest you to uninstall the driver completely. You can do this via Device Manager. Open Device Manager.Expand the 'Sound, video and game controllers' node and right click on High Definition Audio >select uninstall (along with software).

Reboot and let OS to detect the hardware. Get connected with the internet. Open Device Manager again.Expand the 'Sound, video and game controllers' >Right click on High Definition Audio>Select update driver.>Windows offers to automatically detect the driver that should be installed.

S.Sengupta,Microsoft MVP Windows and Devices for IT, Windows Insider MVP. Hi, I suggest to uninstall high definition audio device driver completely from Device Manager, note delete the driver software fpr this device at the same time. Then install previous version audio driver from Realtek office website.

Thanks, As stated in my post I have already done the uninstall that you suggest. In fact I have done this several times hoping for a better result. This does not correct the problem.

I have read some windows technical posts that indicate that there is no specific driver for the hdad, that the driver version number 1 Zte Drivers For Windows 10 Download. 0.0.15063.502 is not a specific driver for the hdad, but is the actual build number for the latest windows 10 update. Can you confirm this? I appreciate your suggestion but clearly all the steps that I have listed in my post have been taken repeatedly and it will take something else to restore the hdad to my hdtv. Perhaps I need to uninstall the last windows 10 update or do a system restore to a date prior to that update.

Thanks but please read my post. The hdad is a windows driver.

It is a windows device, not realtek. As stated in my post I have updated both the windows hdad and the realtek hdad with the latest drivers. Neither windows nor realtek have any earlier versions of the drivers on their sites.

If you can direct me to a source for earlier versions of the drivers for either windows or realtek I would greatly appreciate your providing a link to that source and I will happily try earlier version drivers for either of the devices.
